Completed the inspections for the identification of the wreck located at the mouth of the Mutu stream in the industrial area of Giammoro (ME). 

This is the Island Crete, a Panamanian merchant ship carrying a huge load of contraband cigarettes. On May 27, 1973, the ship was in serious trouble off Stromboli due to a violent storm, but refused any rescue. The crew abandoned the ship only after a violent fire broke out aboard.
